This upscale and busy catering /events operation is seeking a passionate, hard-working Chef de Cuisine who will strive to continue the mission of providing remarkable experiences to all clientele. The Chef de Cuisine will partner with the Culinary Director to ensure all standards are met and expectations are exceeded. The ideal candidate will motivate the culinary team and build a cohesive team. He or She will be responsible for the daily operations of the Catering and/or Banquet Facility, ensure that customers are completely satisfied with their catering/private dining experience and enforce BOH cleanliness and sanitation standards according to code. This group values a humble approach to leadership, a spirit of teamwork and an environment of learning and development. Finally, the Chef de Cuisine must be a passionate culinarian with a great palette and sense of presentation.
3+ years senior level or executive chef experience in a high-quality, volume-oriented
Possess ServSafe certification or have the ability to certify during training.
Possess basic computer skills.
Ability to perform multiple job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
Familiarity with food, beverage and labor cost controls.
Possess good communication skills to deal with customers and staff.
Ability to ascertain staff training needs and provide such training.
Ability to direct performance of all staff and follow up with correction where needed.
