RESPONSIBILITIES:

This innovative and creative hotel management company with a growing portfolio of unique, lifestyle, luxury hotels is seeking a Chief Operating Officer who will be based in their headquarters located in the Southwest. The COO will inspire the Hotel General Managers to ensure that each independent concept is successfully executed and pulled through so that the distinctive experiences are aligned with the strategic cultural, financial, and service performance goals of the company. Additionally, this individual will be actively involved in leading business development including hotel acquisitions, new construction/development, and capital raising through new investor/owner partnerships.

To be successful in this role, individuals must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of working with a high level of integrity and ethics, inspire the trust of others, and place people over process.

REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate for this position brings 10+ years of experience in a senior executive leadership role with operational oversight of upscale to luxury properties and will have solid exposure to full-service independent, boutique, lifestyle hotels/resorts.
Must have prior multi full-service property experience.
Involvement in managing new hotel openings, construction/development, renovations/acquisitions/transitions.
Excellent leadership ability, team management, interpersonal, and leadership development skills.
Experience collaborating with a senior executive team in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
Exceptional P&L management experience.
Highly analytical, creative problem solver with the ability to make sound decisions.
Excellent decision-making ability, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Must be willing to travel.
