This branded, designer, consumer products company based in Irvine, CA is seeking a dynamic Corporate Controller to lead the financial department of three. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Corporate Controller has oversight of the company's financial process, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This is a key leadership role that will add significant value to the future growth of the company. The ideal candidate has highly effective leadership skills, the ability to make sense of complex information and see ahead to future possibilities to create breakthrough strategies, and prior experience in consumer products/retail/product manufacturing with an emphasis on inventory management. CPA is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
Leads and directs the day to day accounting activities including cash management and forecasting, risk management, account reconciliations, general ledger, accounts payable, deposits, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, etc
Responsible for timely and accurate monthly and annual end close process, financial statement preparation, financial reporting design and production, variance analysis
Guides financial decisions by establishing and maintaining accounting policies, processes, internal controls, and managing daily workflow to ensure 100% compliance
Alerts the CEO of any irregularities, lack of compliance, or any actual or potential problems associated with financial systems, financial operations, audits, budgets or other financial matters
Partners with CEO to develop and enhance financial reporting that transforms data into actionable information, creates value, and meets the needs of the business
Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Directs and develops staff, and coordinate workflow to maximize efficiency and optimize resource utilization consistent with the Company’s core values


Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
CPA is highly preferred
3-5 years of experience at the Controller level in an omnichannel consumer products organization or related
Must have effective communication skills with all levels of the organization
Experience in maintaining and supervising financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements
Strong people management skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels
Full Circle, MS Dynamics, Quickbooks, Great Plains or other retail supply chain and production administration software experience is required
