The Corporate Human Resources Director has oversight of a luxury, waterfront hotel and two private clubs which are located in Newport Beach, CA. As a key member of the executive team, this individual serves as a partner to the General Managers of the resort and two clubs in aligning the human resources strategy to achieve business results. The Corporate HRD leads a team of five to support a total employee count of up to 800 employees and has oversight of payroll, benefits administration, compensation management, workers compensation, recruiting, training, labor/union relations/negotiations, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Only candidates with prior upscale to luxury hotel experience will be considered. An experienced HR leader who is looking for an opportunity to creatively take all areas of the HR function to the next level is the ideal candidate.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years as a manager in an upscale or luxury hotel/resort (4-star hotel or greater)
PHR/SPHR certification is highly valued
Union experience is preferred
Bi-lingual English and Spanish preferred
