The Director of IT is a senior executive member of the team and, as such, is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership and guidance in developing, coordinating and implementing security strategies and solutions for the company. The Director of Information Technology collaborates with team members, service providers, senior leadership to establish goals and define the Technology Services Management strategy and objectives. He or she is accountable for profitable business performance and revenue generation, maintaining high standards of customer service, and acting with integrity. The Director of IT ensures objectives are achieved while operating within all company guidelines and following ethical business practices.
Minimum six (6) years of experience as an Information Technology Manager or Director. Eight (8) years of experience preferred.
Experience within the hospitality industry required.
In-depth experience and knowledge of enterprise IT concerns and technologies, including but not limited to:
Security Administration: VPN's, encryption, authentication, application-level network protocols, PKI, IPSec, Firewall, SSH, SSL, DES, Internet security, secure electronic credit card processing
Network Administration: LAN/WAN, and TCP/IP, routers, network switches, Internet protocols, networking protocols
Systems Administration: Microsoft operating systems (server and desktop), Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, cloud-based technologies, BI tools, backup applications
HIPAA Security Officer: Information security regulations applicable to HIPAA, IT risk and compliance management, and various other privacy laws
Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to problems.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field, required. Master's degree preferred.
