The Director of Construction Management is responsible for leading the administration and management of planning, design, and construction functions/activities for the company's groundbreaking projects in South Florida.
Create a construction schedule and develop an organizational and responsibilities matrix for each project; ensure project participants understand the performance standards related to predetermined schedules, plans, and specifications
Business unit planning, staffing, and management including general contractors, subcontractors, environmental contractors, surveyors, permit expeditors...
Regularly communicate with all suppliers, contractors, and key contacts to ensure materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and personnel are obtained/delivered when necessary
Conduct in-house vs third-party construction analysis; design, implement and manage pre-construction process models based on best practices
Lead feasibility and site construction due diligence efforts including permitting, zoning, contracting and costing; in collaboration with Architects, identify permitting process
A minimum of 10 years of significant achievement managing the execution and completion of construction projects; mid to highrise residential and or commercial construction
South Florida project completion experience is required
Expert level knowledge in creating, implementing, and monitoring construction schedules, control systems, policies, procedures, and standards
Possess skills and understanding in financial controls with a bottom-line profit orientation
General understanding of real estate practices
Proactive leadership approach with the ability to solve unstructured challenges
