This counter-service café concept featuring made-to-order food and premium ingredients is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the growing New York City market. The Director of Operations will be responsible for overall restaurant operations including financial goals, recipe execution, service standards, sanitation practices, and overall management functionality. This role also includes significant training responsibilities such as developing and updating employee and management training and development programs, creating and implementing SOP's, and new store openings, including coordination of hiring, opening teams, training schedule, and operational support and training budgets. -3+ years’ experience as a Director of Operations of a similar counter-service concept
- Bachelor’s of Hospitality Management degree or Business Management degree will be looked upon favorably
-New York City restaurant management experience is a must!
- A sound foundation of knowledge in laws/regulations pertaining to NYC human resources and labor law compliance
-Must have proven success in establishing credibility across all levels within an organization and experience with guiding owners regarding staffing, scheduling, and management structures
-Ability to understand and create an income statement (P & L) and leadership ability to lead discussions and take action based on the numbers
-Previous instructional design experience is key as creating and editing new opening procedures based on the successes and improvement opportunities of past openings is an essential job function
