RESPONSIBILITIES:

A well-regarded upscale hospitality group is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Director to lead the HR department of a flagship property in Montauk, New York. This year-round resort is buzzing with activity and energetic people due to the company’s success and growth. This role will lead two HR professionals in providing support to management and employees in a wide variety of human resources functional areas with a focus on staffing, employee relations, labor law compliance, payroll, new hire onboarding, training, time and attendance tracking. REQUIREMENTS:

-5+ years of experience as a human resources professional leading HR functions for 400 employees as a minimum.
-Experience in the hospitality or food service industries with knowledge of relevant exempt and non-exempt wage regulations will be looked upon favorably.
-Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Human Resources is strongly desired but not required if equivalent work experience and certification requirements are met.
-PHR , SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification Preferred.
-Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and civil rights laws, including, but not limited to, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, workers’ compensation; NYSIF, C240 and C11 reports.
-Recent experience with J1 and H2B visa recruitment, selection, and job offers.
-Proven success in developing reward and recognition programs and training strategies.
-Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle several projects simultaneously.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
-Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and savviness with HR/payroll software platforms.

***This position is based in Montauk, New York. The company will assist financially with the relocation of a well-qualified candidate.
