An established and popular dining destination in Uptown Charlotte needs an Executive Chef with a passion for local produce sourcing and regional cooking. Experience running a small team in a hyper-local culinary program a big plus. The role will include developing creative, seasonal menus, executing prep, and events. We are looking for a candidate with excitement towards the culinary arts who values their work environment. The team is super positive, and this is the foundation of who they are and the food they serve. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in established and notable kitchens with a foundation in farm to table. Experienced Sous Chefs are welcome to apply.
*5+ years culinary background with regional American cuisine and local produce sourcing
*Culinary Creativity with restricted seasonal, hyper-local produce only.
*Purchasing experience and local vendor relations
*Inventory control, Menu, plate & labor costing
*Menu/recipe creation, maintenance, and documentation, with daily staff education
*Experience leading a kitchen team of 10+ employees
*Thorough knowledge of food handling practices including a food protection certificate
*Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and coach a dynamic team
*Strong organization and communication skills
*Passion for success, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence
*Intermediate computer skills & knowledge
