A respected Charlotte restaurant is searching for an Executive Pastry Chef to leads it's kitchen in both pastry and bread production. This person will oversee a team of five. Ideal candidates come from an upscale casual background with the ability to manage production and lead the execution of services in a high volume environment. This person oversees the development of new products and menus items as well as manage the production team on consistently producing current menu items. Creativity and consistency are two of the most important requirements for this group.
*Responsible for overseeing a team of five in a large production kitchen
*Develop, cost and train all menu items
* Manage cost and budgets
*Oversee all mise-en-place, requiring pastry skills and techniques.
*Ensure consistent excellence in work product.
*Lead pastry and bread team in time management, task accomplishment with regards to daily prep list.
*Continuous interaction with pastry and bread teams
*Responsible for overseeing station, workplace cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
*Five plus years as an Executive Pastry Chef in a similar concept
*Adept in both savory and sweet pastry and breads
*Ability to work fast-paced, high volume atmosphere
*Great communications skills
*Culinary degree or similar certifications
