Ideal candidates come from an upscale casual background with the ability to manage production and lead the execution of services in a high volume environment. This person oversees production for both desserts and breads for multiple restaurants and a catering business. Creativity and consistency are two of the most important requirements for this group.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
This individual operates the production kitchen daily with professionalism, respect, efficiency, knowledge, and awareness.
Responsible for overseeing all prep production for dessert stations and service.
Responsible for leading basic preparation procedures.
Oversee all mise-en-place, requiring pastry skills and techniques.
Ensure consistent excellence in work product.
Lead pastry team in time management, task accomplishment with regards to daily prep list.
Continuous interaction with pastry staff.
Responsible for overseeing station, workplace cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
* 2 plus years as an Executive Pastry Chef in a similar concept
* Adept in both savory and sweet pastry
* Ability to work fast-paced, high volume atmosphere
* Great communications skills
* Culinary degree or similar certifications
