This upcoming, innovative restaurant where high-quality ingredients and genuine, energetic hospitality meet, is looking for a General Manager. The General Manager is responsible for working with the rest of the team to run a profitable restaurant, where the quality of service, food, and drinks are continually challenged and improved and in an environment that fosters creativity, free-thinking and intelligent decision making. Candidates for this General Manager role must be knowledgeable in all aspects of operating restaurants (table service + full bar) including leadership, building the business & customer base, recruiting, hiring, training, financials & profitability, food safety, risk management, and technical knowledge (POS, A/V).
-3+ years of experience as a restaurant manager (assistant general manager, or general manager) in New York City.
-Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role and the General Manager will lead daily shifts on the floor.
-Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts from opening, mid, closing, weekdays and weekends.
-Must have a sound foundation of knowledge in laws/regulations pertaining to NYC human resources compliance.
-Strong problem-solving, organization and time management skills.
-Proficiency of basic computer applications and POS systems.
-New restaurant opening experience will be highly valued by this employer.
