RESPONSIBILITIES:

This upscale counter-service concept featuring premium chef-driven desserts is hiring a General Manager to lead a location in Manhattan. We are seeking an ambitious, food-loving restaurant operator for this exciting opportunity, as this admired brand is growing locally and nationally. The General Manager will be responsible for overall operations including hiring and training, product execution, top-notch service standards, promotion execution, setting and achieving financial goals, and safety and sanitation practices. The General Manager will act as a role model for outstanding service and “owner” of the customer experience in their store. REQUIREMENTS:

-Recent experience as an Assistant General Manager, General Manager, Training Manager, or equivalent of a counter-service foodservice concept
-Previous food & beverage management experience in an upscale restaurant or hotel setting will be looked upon favorably
-Must be comfortable working in a high-growth environment and be able to contribute to the development of structure and systems for the retail shop segment of this well-regarded brand
-Hospitality Management degree or Business Administration degree will be looked upon favorably
-A sound foundation of knowledge in laws and regulations pertaining to NYC, NYS and Federal human resources and labor compliance
-Ability to understand and create an income statement (P & L) and leadership ability to lead discussions and take action based on the numbers
-Accreditation with Department of Health for Food Protection Certificate
-Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and English verbal and written communication skills
