General Manager – Multi-Outlet Restaurant & Bar Concept

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This growing multi-outlet concept featuring an upscale restaurant, full bar, grab-n-go, retail, take-out/delivery, and off-premise catering is seeking a talented General Manager to lead an NYC location. The General Manager’s responsibilities include:

• Develop a large management team through coaching, mentoring and leading by example
• Lead a capable and charismatic team of both FoH and BoH employees in a firm but gracious manner
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting for all controllable costs
• Full P & L Management. Responsible for overseeing budgets, forecasts, labor, and profitability
• Maintain an A letter grade from the DOH by ensuring all food handling, sanitation, and food safety requirements are being followed
• Create and execute a sales-building plan (with corporate marketing + operations support) which focuses on the local commercial and residential community
• Maintaining standards according to DOH, fire safety, and employment regulations
• Fostering a positive work environment and creating a great overall employee and guest experience

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, and leadership
• NYC DOH Food Handler’s Certification
• 3-6 years experience as a General Manager of a large full-service NYC establishment ($3M/year revenue as a minimum)
• Experience working in many levels and departments of the restaurant and bar business with genuine respect for the role that every team member plays in the restaurant’s success
Proven team player willing to roll up your sleeves
• Excellent communication skills
• A good sense of humor, positive attitude and passion for the restaurant/foodservice business
• A sound foundation of knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to hospitality human resources compliance
