This locally owned upscale restaurant group is looking for an experienced General Manager to really take ownership of this project that will be the first in their growing portfolio of restaurants. This will be a stylish and visually stunning venue with an upscale but approachable feel and high quality, scratch kitchen.
The General Manager will oversee the Restaurant and Bar operations by selecting, training, evaluating, leading, motivating, and coaching all employees to ensure that cultural and core standards are met. The ability to be visible in the operations, provide recognition, promote positive public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests. Ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
The ideal candidate for this role brings 3+ years of General Manager level experience from an elegant casual or fine dining restaurant group. Employment history with large well-known hospitality organizations and smaller boutique restaurants will be considered. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent wine and cocktail knowledge, strong leadership abilities and a passion to drive sales and service in a unique and iconic restaurant. Candidates must understand and connect with a sophisticated dining scene.
