An award-winning Charleston restaurant group is seeking a professional General Manager to oversee one of our outlets. The popular, upscale Japanese eatery is recognized for its quality food, amazing beverage program and top notch service. The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the entire operation of the restaurant. Ensuring quality of food, enjoyment of guests, building a team, managing the finances and making sure the restaurant is running at peak performance at all times. Additional Responsibilities for the Restaurant General Manager:
Assumes 100% responsibility of coaching all employees per shift in all departments following job descriptions, policies and procedures.
Works with Executive Chef in designing strategies for menu specials relating to food costs, budget, and variances.
Leads all Manager and team member meetings.
Responsible for implementing and following up on assigned weekly goals to your management team to assure completion while accomplishing your own goals.
Developing strong relationships with internal and external partners, including key vendors & operations to ensure operational excellence
Assists Marketing Manager with strategies and implementations in accordance with sales goals and concept statement.
At least 3 years experience in a General Management Role.
New restaurant openings helpful but not required.
Proven training ability.
Personal characteristics that include: integrity, self-confidence, resilience, collaborative influences style, superior communication (verbal & written), strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Must be fluent in budgeting, ordering, perpetual inventory, tracking financials and scheduling with great computer skills.
A College degree or equivalent experience.
