Group Sales Manager – Full Service Hotel in Syracuse NY

$50,000 base + uncapped commission + bonus + 100% employee benefit coverage

This growing hotel management company's premiere full-service property located in Syracuse, NY is seeking a dynamic Group Sales Manager to join their team. The Group Sales Manager will manage existing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and solicit new business to ensure revenue goals are consistently met or better yet exceeded with a focus on penetrating the corporate group market segment.

Responsibilities include:
Soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients
Handling account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
Coordinating various departments' participation in servicing accounts
Developing and conducting persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
Preparing information for meeting with and entertaining clients as deemed appropriate by potential business
Participating in the daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training, and other sales-related meetings as required
Attending trade shows, community events, and industry meetings


Minimum 3+ years of hotel group sales experience is required
Knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the hotel
Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales goals by effectively negotiating and closing business Excellent team player and innovator fostering a culture of performance, accountability, trust and credibility
Ability to identify, target new accounts, and sell concepts and ideas to clients
Ability to create and deliver high-quality experience that meets or exceeds our guests' expectations
Effective time management and organization skills
