RESPONSIBILITIES:

This hot NYC-based concept is seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to lead culinary operations of a bustling location. The Kitchen Manager is the culinary leader responsible for overseeing all areas of restaurant and banquet/event foodservice and maintaining recipe standards while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for BOH staffing and training, budgets and projections, and inventory and ordering. Also responsible for maintaining an A letter grade from the DOH by ensuring all food handling, sanitation, and food safety requirements are being followed. This boutique bar & restaurant group with a collection of upscale establishments is steadily growing. REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a culinary management role such as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or equivalent in a high volume, scratch kitchen
• Culinary degree preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• A sound foundation of knowledge in laws/regulations pertaining to hospitality human resources compliance
• A good sense of humor, positive attitude and passion for hospitality
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Avero is a plus
• NYC DOH Food Handler’s Certification
