The Regional Director of Sales will establish and implement the sales and marketing strategy for 2-4 hotels located in the Memphis, TN region. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Sales, the Regional DOS will successfully lead the hotels' sales efforts, e.g. actively making outside sales calls, securing new corporate negotiated rates/group accounts, maintain key existing accounts, participate in community networking groups to enhance the hotels' awareness, execute sales strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotels while maintaining customer satisfaction. This individual will also provide leadership, guidance, and assistance relating to the execution of sales functions, policies, and standards to his/her direct reports at the hotel property level.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of progressive hotel sales experience with at least 1 year of experience in a Director of Sales role
Deep knowledge of forecasting sales and interpreting/analyzing results to plan and conducting budgetary analysis
Extensive knowledge of sales skills and revenue management
Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and translating these into sales solutions
Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills including follow up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
