RESPONSIBILITIES:

Upper-casual, full-service restaurant featuring high-quality American Bistro cuisine in a contemporary setting seeks a dynamic, polished, customer service centric leader to manage the front of the house staff and operations. Reporting to the General Manager, the Restaurant Manager successfully establishes planning, organization, and coordination of all food and beverage activities, while providing exceptional service.

Primary responsibilities:
Floor presence, greeting and interacting with guests
Perform daily inspection of the restaurant for readiness according to standards
Responsibility for all opening/closing procedures
Maintain timely, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with quality standards
Responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of service and ambiance
Manage and direct service
Handle guest complaints in the most diplomatic manner
Complete menu knowledge
P&L management by following cash control, manages labor, review financial reports, and takes any appropriate actions
Schedule staff according to forecasted business within budgetary goals
Promote and maintains good employee relations between service kitchen and dining room
Maintain safety by adhering to stated safety policies and handle guest and employee accidents
Assist efforts in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team; conducts performance appraisals, take disciplinary action, motivate and train

REQUIREMENTS:

Exceptional leadership skills are a must with a minimum of 3 years of restaurant management experience
Stable career progression is highly valued
Knowledge of MS Office and POS systems
Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports
Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability, outgoing, and polished
Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards
Must possess effective communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
