This growing, high-quality foodservice brand has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance Manager to join its team in NYC. The Quality Assurance Manager role focuses on ensuring that all products are safe and legal whilst complying with the company’s own mission statement and brand standards. This is achieved through establishing, maintaining, reviewing and continuously improving all systems, processes, and standards required for ingredient labeling, food safety, and due diligence. Additional responsibilities with this cutting-edge group include ensuring the successful launch of new food and beverage products from a QA perspective such as managing the recipe standards system so that all ingredients have up to date specifications which are easily accessible. Managing the running of shelf-life trials and the ongoing shelf-life process. Managing supplier performance, both standards and quality-related. Supporting customer services with nutritional and other customer queries. Remaining up to date with legal changes affecting ready-to-eat food products and managing the flow of that information into the business, ensuring that the company complies within the relevant timescales.
-3+ years of experience within the food manufacturing environment; preferably in an RTE (ready-to-eat) concept
-Previous experience with Audit QA and food safety programs and experience with labeling requirements
-Food technology or equivalent qualification and experience in the field
-Passion for all things testing and evaluation-related.

-Preference for a level of nutritional training/professional certification
-Fresh, organic food experience essential. Effective organizational and planning skills
-Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
