The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for co-leading a team of culinary professionals that deliver high-quality, great tasting food, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, and profitability. -The ideal candidate for this Executive Sous Chef role brings 3+ years of Sous Chef or equivalent experience from upscale, full-service restaurants.
-We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in system-based restaurants and solid understanding of BOH financials.
-We are looking for a chef with high-volume ($8M/year minimum) restaurant experience with heavy private dining/group function culinary experience.
-Multiple cuisine backgrounds including Contemporary America, Steakhouse and Seafood is a plus.
-Must have excellent communication skills and knowledge of basic restaurant business administration including food cost and labor management.
-Sound foundation of knowledge in laws/regulations pertaining to NYC human resources compliance.
-Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer proficiency with restaurant operating systems.
