RESPONSIBILITIES:

A well-regarded upscale foodservice brand is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Human Resources to lead the HR department of its US business division. The NYC-based US support center where this role is based is buzzing with activity and energetic people due to the company’s success and growth. This role will lead 10 or more HR professionals in providing support to management and employees in a wide variety of human resources functional areas with a focus on staffing, employee relations, labor law compliance, payroll, new hire onboarding, training, time and attendance tracking, and creating/implementing SOPs which align with the company’s core values. This company is looking for a Vice President of Human Resources who will make sure all 'I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed while cultivating and inspiring a culture of team-oriented success along the way. REQUIREMENTS:

-10+ years of experience as a human resources professional. 5 years as a minimum overseeing all HR functions for a company with 1,000+ employees. Multi-state experience will be looked upon favorably.
-Experience in the hospitality or food service industries with knowledge of relevant exempt and non-exempt wage regulations.
-Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Human Resources is strongly desired but not required if equivalent work experience and certification requirements are met.
-PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification Preferred.
-Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and civil rights laws.
-Proven success in developing reward and recognition programs and training strategies.
-Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle several projects simultaneously.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
-Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and savviness with HR/payroll software platforms.
