Vice President of Quality Assurance – Fast Growing National Foodservice Company

This fast-growing, global hospitality management company is looking for a Vice President of Quality Assurance to join the team at its North American headquarters in New York City. The Vice President of Quality Assurance is a member of the executive leadership team and he/she is responsible for the overall management of the Quality Assurance department. This includes developing, implementing and maintaining programs to improve product quality, food safety, technology and to satisfy regulatory compliance. In addition, this includes monitoring and/or developing programs to ensure products are produced in compliance with product standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and in accordance with government regulations. This individual provides leadership in the area of Quality Assurance and develops and maintains a solid understanding of food safety and quality awareness in all areas and functions. This individual is also responsible for the management of department members including hiring, training, coaching and developing staff.


• 10+ years food/quality/safety leadership experience in the foodservice industry or related industry
• Proven knowledge of food quality standards, federal, state and local regulations
• Proven knowledge & understanding of FSMA, GMP, HACCP, SOP
• Firm understanding of analytical testing, sensory methods, food microbiology, IPM (integrated pest management), quality management systems (ISO)
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people and achieve results through others
• Strong interpersonal, managerial and leadership skills required, strong focus on accountability and internal client service orientation
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation/teaching skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient working knowledge of MS Office
• Experience using ERP systems, JDE a plus
• Bachelor's degree in food science, biological sciences or related field
• Master's degree in food science or related field preferred
• Flexibility for travel as needed
